Guido Falcenberg, the long-serving CEO of alfa Media Partner GmbH, is stepping down from the company's Board of Management on June 30, 2010 to take up new challenges within the group.
Although this move will see him take a step back from the day-to-day running of the business, Guido Falcenberg will remain closely linked with alfa Media in his new role. The focus of his new function will be on driving the strategic expansion of the international business. Following the company's success over the past few years in marketing software solutions outside the German-speaking region comprised of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, alfa Media is now targeting additional markets.
"I was very fortunate in being able to play an active part in shaping the development of alfa Media since its foundation in 1981. I would like to thank our customers, business partners and employees for the trusting and open cooperation that has existed," said Guido Falcenberg.
Jens Emmerich, who has assumed operational responsibility within the company's management since 2008, will take over as sole managing director on July 1, 2010. He has spent over eight years working in a variety of roles at alfa Media. Jens Emmerich commented on his new role: "I am very much looking forward to taking up this challenge. With advance technologies, innovative ideas and a strong team, alfa Media is ideally positioned to continue operating successfully in the market in future."
